Hey hey.
So it’s time to spill the beans. I didn’t run at all this week. I didn’t go to the gym once. I slept through my yoga class. I drank lots of water, caffeine free for two weeks… But that’s the only “good healthy thing” I did this week.
Remember how I said I have a bad knee? And supposable the ligaments and tendons in my right leg are too short for my bones? Well, I’m starting to think that’s not the only thing wrong.
I literally cannot put any weight on my right foot at all without a sharp pain going through my knee. I can barely walk, I can’t put on pants standing up, I can’t sit for a long time the stand up again without my leg buckling under me. Even now just laying here I can feel my knee throbbing.
Uuuuuuugh.
I don’t know what’s wrong and I just want to cry. It’s not like it’s been a day or two, it’s been like this since Monday. I thought I just needed to stretch or ice it or something, but it’s only getting worse. I mean, just try to walk makes me want to cry. That’s not good, at all.
So, that’s my life at the moment. I have no idea what to do, what doctor to go to… But I need to do something.
Does anyone have any advice? Suggestions? Gone through something similar?

… Fuck. I guess I was exhausted
Just finished my workout a few minutes ago. I slept in a little this morning, did some much needed catch up on work, went to my afternoon job, then spent the evening frantically trying to find an all white outfit to wear to an event on Wednesday… that’s a whole different crazy story, but not important right now.
By the time I finished running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I was far too frazzled to drive back to the other side of town to go to the gym… so I just did my workout at home.
I did a LOT of stretching. I am wicked sore from yesterday’s run and my right knee has been achy all day- weird story time! The only “sport” I ever participated in was marching band. Yes, marching band. I was one of the cool piccolo players with the feathers on my head. Anyways, my knee always killed while we were marching/doing drills. Long story short, apparently my tendons and ligaments in my right leg are a bit shorter than my bones… so I have to stretch a ton before I do any physical activity.
So! Like I said, I stretched a lot through out the day today.
Tonight I focused on my legs for my “strengthening” portion of the day. Again, this was all done at home, with either no equipment or just my 8lb dumbbells. Super simply, nothing complicated, and still a lot of sweat.
- Calf Raises w/ 8lb dumbbells 3x10
- Squats 3x10
- Step Ups 3x10 starting on left foot, 3x10 start on right foot
- Straight Leg Dead-lift w/ 8lb dumbbells 3x10
- Lying Hip Abduction w/ 8lb dumbbells 3x10 on left side, w/ 8lb dumbbells 3x10 on right side
- Lying Leg Raise 3x10
- Lying Straight Leg Raise 3x10
I know I mentioned this last week, but doing legs absolutely KILL me. I think I sweat more doing legs than everything else combined. But for me that’s more of a push myself and make my legs stronger!
Now I’m off to do my 100 crunches! Then bed time. Oh I cannot wait for bed time…
